President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent diplomatic engagements in France and the United Kingdom are yielding visible dividends in Nigeria’s economic and governance landscape, according to Amb. Musa Muhammed Tsoken, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the North East and a strong advocate of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

In an official commentary, Amb. Tsoken highlighted the tangible outcomes of President Tinubu’s foreign trips, describing them as strategic steps toward attracting investment, boosting economic diversification, and reinforcing governance reforms.

“These foreign engagements have successfully attracted capital importation and increased foreign direct investments (FDI), especially in critical sectors of the economy,” Tsoken noted.

“This development is bridging the funding gap for various development projects and creating fresh opportunities for sustainable growth.”

He emphasized the President’s deliberate efforts to reduce Nigeria’s overreliance on oil by exploring and opening channels for economic diversification during these high-level international discussions.

“Tinubu’s engagements have strengthened Nigeria’s bilateral relationships with France and the United Kingdom, opening doors for cooperation in trade, infrastructure, and security development,” he added.

Amb. Tsoken also underscored the importance of the information disseminated by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), under the leadership of Sen. Dr. George Akume, as a key component in fostering transparency and providing comprehensive assessments of Nigeria’s diplomatic progress.

Moreover, the synergy between the Executive and Legislative arms of government was commended as a pivotal factor in advancing national development.

“The coordination and support from the National Assembly, under Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, ensure the smooth passage of critical bills aimed at economic transformation,” Tsoken stated.

He concluded by affirming that President Tinubu’s diplomatic strides are laying a solid foundation for a prosperous and globally respected Nigeria.
