Tinubu’s Support for Women Will Secure His Second Term — Minister Imaan

1 Mins read

The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Barrister Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to women’s development will be a key factor in his re-election come 2027.

She made this known while receiving the Publisher and General Editor of Asiwaju Trumpet Magazine, Hon. Abdul-Hameed Oladipupo Alli (popularly known as Mr. Nigeria), who is also the Convener of BLOW ASIWAJU TRUMPET THE SECOND TERM (BLAST), during a courtesy visit to the ministry in Abuja.

Minister Imaan commended President Tinubu’s consistent efforts in promoting gender equality and social inclusion under the Renewed Hope Agenda. She pledged the ministry’s continued support for social development initiatives and partnerships with NGOs like Asiwaju Trumpet to amplify the administration’s achievements.

“Nigerian women are ready to mobilize in full support of President Tinubu because of his outstanding track record in championing women’s causes,” she stated.

Hon. Alli said the visit was part of a series of activities marking the second anniversary of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He urged the Minister and government institutions to subscribe to Asiwaju Trumpet and support its proposed online radio and TV platforms aimed at projecting government successes.

Alli, a former Chairman of Ilorin West LGA, also pledged to work with the Ministry in tackling child abuse, identity fraud, and parental alienation, aligning with the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act.

The event also featured the formal investiture of Minister Imaan as Matron and Ambassador of BLAST, alongside her conferment with the Doyen of the Downtrodden Award.

Meanwhile, the group announced a 14-day affirmation campaign starting June 11, 2025, to celebrate Democracy Day and conclude on June 25 with the launch of Asiwaju Trumpet Magazine in honor of Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila’s 63rd birthday.
