The National Coordinator of the Asiwaju Again Renewed Hope Initiative 2027 and National President of the APC Initiative for Good Governance (APC-IGG), Amb. Musa Muhammed Tsoken, has commended the Governor of Agbu Kefas for what he described as a clear demonstration of integrity and commitment to campaign promises through sustained investment in education.
Tsoken gave the commendation following the approval of ₦1.3 billion by the Taraba State Government for the payment of examination fees for students sitting for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO).
According to him, the gesture, which covers 39,000 WAEC candidates and 38,000 NECO candidates under the state’s free education programme, is a practical example of Governor Kefas “walking his talk” and delivering on promises made to the people of Taraba State.
He noted that the intervention goes beyond policy pronouncements, as it directly impacts the lives of over 77,000 students and their families, many of whom would have struggled to afford the cost of examination registration.
Tsoken described the development as a major relief for parents and guardians, stressing that it eliminates the difficult choices families often make between basic needs and their children’s education.
He further praised the governor’s focus on human capital development, stating that investing in education remains one of the most effective ways to secure long-term socio-economic growth.
The APC chieftain urged students to take full advantage of the opportunity by committing themselves to academic excellence, while calling on parents and teachers to continue providing the necessary support and guidance.
He added that the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that policies that prioritise education are essential to building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
Tsoken also called on leaders at all levels to emulate such people-oriented policies, emphasizing that good governance is best measured by tangible impact on citizens’ lives.
