WAHO Felicitates Christians at Easter, Preaches Peace, Unity and Renewal

By Abdulrahman Aliagan,

The West African Health Organisation (WAHO) has extended its warmest Easter greetings to Christian communities across West Africa and beyond, urging citizens to embrace the values of peace, hope, compassion and unity that define the sacred celebration.

In an Easter message made available to journalists, the regional health body described Easter as a season that symbolises hope, renewal and new life, while calling on individuals, families and communities to draw spiritual strength from the significance of the occasion.

WAHO noted that Easter remains a powerful reminder of the need for solidarity, mutual care and a shared commitment to human dignity and collective well-being across the region.

According to the organisation, the season should also inspire renewed dedication to the values that promote peaceful coexistence, social harmony and healthier communities.

The health institution further prayed that the Easter celebration would bring peace, joy and spiritual upliftment to all Christian faithful and their loved ones.

WAHO reaffirmed its goodwill to Christians and all residents of West Africa, wishing them a happy, peaceful and blessed Easter celebration.
