We Have Made An Appreciable Progress in Peace Building On The Plateau – Lalong

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong has express his administration’s commitment to continue rebuilding peace on the Plateau, he made the statement at the Polo field in Jos, during the declaration of the Jos 2019 Trade Fair opened.

According to the governor, “The event is key. This is why I welcome and appreciates men and women who came far and near to help us rebuild our state. We have made progress in peace building on the Plateau.  This event is dear to my heart and our Rescue administration, because our desire is not only restore the lost glory of our beloved state, but also to build an economy that will provide opportunities and support the entrepreneurial spirit of the Plateau man.

“This is why I welcome and appreciates all business men and women, corporate bodies and exhibitors, that have come from far and near to participate in this trade fair and join us in the process of rebuilding Plateau state.

“Since I assumed office in 2015, our rescue administration has continued to remove all obstacles that are inimical to the economic growth and development such as insecurities, poor infrastructure.

“Today, we have made a lot of progress. Many investors are now willing to bring their money to Plateau state.” The Governor concludes.

Delivering his speech, Chairman of the occasion, Sir Joseph Ari, KSM, Director General, Industrial Training Fund, said, the Trade Fair provides the opportunity to the business people to network and have face to face interaction.

According to him, “It is also a great way to transform their businesses. He urged the exhibitors to utilised the opportunity to help in the growth of Nigerian economy.”

Sir Ari, further pointed out that,for tourism to thrive on the Plateau and attract foreign investors, citizens must acquire skills on catering and events management, Tourist guides as well as other relevant skills.

Speaking also in his welcome address, Chairman of the Plateau state chairman of Agriculture, Commerce, Industry, minerals and Agriculture, Bulus Dareng, said, in all the nineteen states, none of the states have half of what Plateau state have in terms of human and mineral resources.

He urged the state government to imbibe on Private Public Partnership in order to boost the economy of the state, considering Private sector as a driving force in boosting the economy, Exhibitors are from Pakistan, Bangaladash and other foreign nations at the fair.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Anista Marketing And Events, who are the organizers of the trade fair, Bolcit Barshep. Said the trade fair is yet another opportunity to savor the great moment of our interaction through various trade exhibitions, cross cultural relations, entertainment and other forms of engagements. The choice of the theme: “Trade Fairs, a Platform to Promote the Tourism Potentials on the Plateau” is apt as it will open doors for the building of a stronger economy for our dear state. 

It is worthy of note that this year’s event is unique in such that for the first time we have the Simon Lalong made in Plateau state Exhibition Pavilion with about 35 MSMEs fully sponsored by the Plateau state government.

We believe that the coming together of people from within and outside the shores of Nigeria will open doors for our numerous Technological talents that are abound In the state to showcase what they can do.

The event witnesses various cultural dances and inspection of Simon Lalong Pavilion by the Governor and other top government functionaries.
