Wuraola Alfa Distributing Empowerment Items to Widows, Vulnerable Persons in Lokoja

Beneficiaries of Wuraola Gold Foundation

Nigerians have been urged to step up their philanthropist gestures to reduce the statistics of poverty and the vulnerable in the society.

Founder of Wuraola Gold Foundation, Mrs Wuraola Alfa, made the appeal during the distribution of consumable items to widows and vulnerable in this year’s empwerment scheme in Lolkoja.

Mrs Alfa who recalled her experience as a daughter raised by a single mum, noted that a decline in cravings for vanities can reduce poverty, crime and other societal ills.

She called for collective efforts from well to do individuals to assist the widows and children saying her NGO, established thirteen years ago has been empowering the masses.

Mrs Alfa said the NGO is global and self sponsored and is willing to collaborate with relevant organizations for expansion of the mission.

In a remark, the State Coordinator of the NGO, Pastor Rosaline Omowumi Ajayi said women and children are more vulnerable to societal conditions and applauded the zeal of Wuraola Gold Foundation for her role in empowering the less privileged.

She noted that the founder for the past ten years has kept the mission alive assuring that a hundred women and children will be empowered in the current scheme.

In their separate remarks, the beneficiaries of the scheme who was supported with a cash price of two hundred thousand Mrs Rebecca Salifu and a boy who won a year school fee payment, Miracle thanked the NGO for giving them a new lease of life in their endeavors.
