Yamaltu-Deba Chairman Urges Parental Support for Education on Children’s Day

The Chairman of Yamaltu-Deba Local Government Area in Gombe state, Alhaji Abubakar Hassan Difa, has called on parents and guardians to support the education of their children.

The Chairman of Yamaltu-Deba Local Government Area in Gombe state, Alhaji Abubakar Hassan Difa, has called on parents and guardians to support the education of their children.

He made the call during the 2025 Children’s Day celebration held at the local government premises in Deba, this was contained in a statement signed by the council’s Information Officer, Malam Babangida Umar.

Alhaji Abubakar commended the Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for his efforts in transforming the education sector and further urged residents to continue supporting the administration’s developmental initiatives.

Representing the Emir of Deba, QS Ahmed Usman, the District Head of Bokna, Abubakar Usman Deba, assured the continued support of traditional institutions for educational development in the area while he also praised the state government for creating a conducive environment for learning.

Also speaking, the Education Secretary of Yamaltu-Deba, Malam Usman Abubakar Pata, described Children’s Day as a special moment for school pupils around the world. He encouraged parents to invest in quality education for their children.

Malam Usman appreciated the efforts of both the local government chairman and Governor Inuwa Yahaya for their unwavering commitment to development.

More than 40 students from nursery, primary, and secondary schools took part in the celebration.
