The Chairman of Yamaltu Deba Local Government Council in Gombe state, Alhaji Abubakar Hassan Difa, has called on intending pilgrims from the area to be good ambassadors while in the holy land of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement made available to journalists by the council’s Information Officer, Babangida Umar, the chairman—represented by his deputy, Abubakar Muhammad Sayo—urged the pilgrims to pray for the local government, Gombe State, and Nigeria at large. He also advised them to remain hardworking and disciplined throughout their stay in the holy land.
He commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his continued commitment to the welfare of pilgrims and wished the intending pilgrims a safe and successful journey.
In his remarks, the Hajj Officer of Yamaltu Deba Local Government, Alhaji Alhussain Ibrahim, appreciated the council’s consistent support and called on the pilgrims to implement the knowledge acquired during their training sessions. He also thanked the scholars and trainers for their sacrifices and dedication to ensuring a successful Hajj.
Over thirty people are expected to perform this year’s Hajj from Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area of Gombe state Nigeria.
