YMD Presents Fed. Mining Officer in-charge of Kogi, Engr. Mrs Kuye with Award of Excellence

Youth Movement for Development has presented an award of excellence to the Federal Mining Officer in Charge of Kogi State, Engineer Mrs B.F Kuye.

Presenting the prestigious award to her in Lokoja, the state coordinator of the group, Mr Abiodun Ajinomoh said the award was to celebrate the life of Engineer Mrs B.F Kuye whom he described as a professional officer with high sense of dedication to duty.

He recalled her bluntness to reposition the Miners Association in the state despite stiff resistance as well as her efforts to phase out the activities of illegal miners.

Mr Ajinomoh urged others to emulate such attitude noting that gender issues does not affect quality service delivery.

He emphasised that the award is presented once a year to a single personality and urged Engineer Mrs Kuye to value the gesture.

Responding, the Federal Mining Officer in Charge of Kogi State, Engineer Mrs B. F Kuye thanked the organiser of the award for recognising her passion towards her duty assuring that it would spur her to be more devoted to her career.

Engr. Mrs Kuye was born to the family of Late Reverend, Rowland Awotimehin and Mrs Eunice Awotimehin of Iyamoye in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, she obtained a master degree in Mining Engineering from Federal University of Technology, Akure.

She is a member of prestigious association if engineers, COREN, she is  presently working with Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Lokoja Office.

She is a devout Christain by religion, a song writer, singer (gospel) and a God fearing person. Law abiding, kind and peace loving personality but hates cheating. Engineer Mrs B.F Kuye is married to Engineer Kolawole Kuye of Odo Irele Kingdom (a royal family) in Ondo state.
