Senator David Jimkuta Emerges as a Shining Star and Servant Leader in Southern Taraba

Senator David Jimkuta, who represents Southern Taraba Senatorial District, has continued to distinguish himself as a servant leader committed to the development and empowerment of his people. His efforts, spanning youth empowerment, education, and community development, have earned him widespread admiration and respect within and beyond Taraba State.

In alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Senator Jimkuta has sponsored over 40 young Nigerians from his constituency to study in India and other countries. The initiative aims to equip them with the skills and exposure needed to contribute meaningfully to national development.

The Senator has also complemented this effort through large-scale empowerment programmes, distributing more than 500 vehicles, motorcycles, tricycles (Keke Napep), and tractors to support livelihoods and promote self-reliance among his constituents.

As Chairman of the Senate Committee on FCT Area Councils and Auxiliary Matters, Senator Jimkuta has made significant contributions to the development of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). His tenure has been marked by visible progress in infrastructure and governance—achievements many observers describe as unprecedented compared to his predecessors.

Known for his humility, integrity, and compassion, Senator Jimkuta continues to inspire confidence among his people and colleagues. His leadership style reflects transparency, accountability, and a genuine passion for service.

In recognition of his remarkable contributions, the APC Initiative for Good Governance (APC-IGG) has commended Senator Jimkuta for his outstanding service and described him as a true servant leader and a shining star of Southern Taraba. The group also called for his recognition at the national level, noting that his dedication to public service and community development embodies the ideals of good governance and responsible leadership.
