Kogi NUT Mourns Teachers Killed in Iluke Gunmen Attack

Kogi State wing of The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), has commiserated with the victims of the gunmen attack in Iluke Kabba – Bunnu Local Government Area.

A statement by the Chairman of the Union, Comrade Abayomi Ayoola today in Lokoja expressed its deepest sympathy and condolence to all Basic Education Teachers, the NUT Branch Executives of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, the families of Elder Abayomi James (Principal, UBE JSS Appa/Agbede Bunu) and Mr. Gani Anifowose (Vice Principal, GSS Iluke Bunu) who tragically lost their lives as a result of the recent attack by gunmen in Iluke, Kabba-Bunu.

The statement also sympathize with all other victims involved in the incidence and described it as a drift towards loss of conscience.

It urged security agencies and all stakeholders to bring the perpetrators to book and work towards putting an end to growing insecurity in the country.

The statement prayed God console the families of the beriefed and grant departed souls eternal rest.
