By Gbenga Shaba

Consistent with the trademark of Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye – fondly known as Mommy GO and globally renowned for her sacrificial giving, the RCCG commemorates her 78th birthday, today, July 13, 2026 with a series of spiritual, humanitarian and developmental programs.

The activities, which are scheduled to hold in Redemption City, Ogun State, are designed to honor her decades of dedicated service to God, humanity and the Church, while also extending the impact of her ministry through healthcare, education and infrastructure development.

A major highlight of the birthday activities will be a Hymn Service scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the House of Favour, Main Gate, Redemption City, beginning promptly at 4:30 p.m. The service is expected to attract ministers of God, church leaders, members of the RCCG family and well-wishers, who will gather in thanksgiving to honour the life and ministry of Pastor Folu Adeboye.

The church describes the events as opportunity to honor “ a mother, teacher, builder and icon of great impact,” acknowledging her immense contributions to the spiritual growth of millions of Christians, family values, women empowerment, mentorship and humanitarian service across the world.

As part of the birthday activities, the church will also commission a Bus Terminal within Redemption City. The project is expected to enhance transportation and improve mobility for worshippers, residents and visitors to the Redemption Camp.

Another landmark project to be inaugurated is a Free School, established to expand access to quality education and further demonstrate the church’s commitment to educational development and community transformation.

In the area of healthcare some youths have planned to visit General Hospitals within their immediate localities to pay the bills of any one who gives birth on July 13th.

Similarly, the Redeemer’s Medical Centre (RMC), Redemption City, has concluded arrangements to provide free medical check-ups and dental scaling and polishing services for 78 elderly persons aged 65 years.

The medical outreach will take place at The Chapel, Redeemer’s Medical Centre, Redemption City, with physical registration scheduled for Monday, July 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. According to the organisers, the outreach is aimed at promoting healthy living among senior citizens and giving back to society.

The medical initiative is anchored on the biblical promise in Exodus 15:26, which declares, “I am the Lord that health thee,” reflecting the church’s emphasis on holistic well-being through both faith and practical healthcare interventions.

The global family of RCCG and well-wishers join the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, family members and the global RCCG community in honoring a woman whose life continues to exemplify faith, compassion, humility and selfless service as she turns seventy-eighth.
