Mahmood Yusuf Distributes Motorcycles, Sewing Machines, Grinding Machines, Fertiliser in Akko

The Director-General of the Joint Project Development Agency Gombe state, Builder Mahmud Yusuf, has commenced the distribution of empowerment materials to residents of Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State.

Speaking during the distribution exercise, Builder Mahmud Yusuf described the initiative as part of the dividends of democracy under the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

He said the programme was also aimed at demonstrating his support for Governor Inuwa Yahaya and other candidates fielded by the All Progressives Congress (APC), while reaffirming the party’s commitment to improving the welfare and economic wellbeing of the people.

Also speaking, the Sarkin Shanun Yamaltu commended Builder Mahmud Yusuf for the initiative, describing the empowerment programme as a timely intervention that would have a significant impact on the lives of the beneficiaries.

He said the gesture would not only improve the livelihoods of the recipients but also contribute to strengthening the APC’s support base from the grassroots to the state level.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Builder Mahmud Yusuf, saying the empowerment items would enable them to improve their businesses, strengthen their livelihoods and achieve greater economic independence.

The event was attended by the Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Abubakar Muhammad Luggerewo; Chairman of Akko Local Government Council; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Sani A. A. Haruna; as well as other APC leaders, stakeholders and supporters from the local government area.

The empowerment items distributed included motorcycles, grinding machines, fertiliser and sewing machines, targeted at supporting women and youths to become self-reliant, improve their livelihoods and expand their businesses.
