Group asks Tinubu, Shettima, Akume to reward APC/IGG president with suitable role in administration

The Body of Professors of the All Progressives Congress Initiative for Good Governance (APC/IGG) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider the organisation’s National President, Ambassador Musa Muhammed Tsoken, for a strategic appointment in the Federal Government.
The call, coming from senior academics within the APC/IGG, is anchored on what the group described as Tsoken’s sustained loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), commitment to good governance and extensive mobilisation in support of the party and the Tinubu administration.
In a statement issued in Abuja and signed by the Chairman of the APC/IGG Body of Professors, Prof. Prince Michael Ikupolati, the group appealed directly to President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, and other senior government officials to give favourable consideration to Tsoken for a “befitting” appointment.
The professors described Tsoken’s political and organisational engagement as evidence of a commitment that, in their view, deserves recognition within the administration.
They particularly cited his leadership of APC/IGG and his efforts to mobilise individuals and groups around the party’s programmes and the broader objective of promoting good governance.

According to the professors, Tsoken’s “selflessness, leadership and vision” have distinguished him within the organisation, while his capacity to build bridges among different stakeholders has contributed to what they described as greater unity and cooperation.
‘Tsoken Has More to Offer’
The group argued that Tsoken possesses experience and attributes that could be deployed in advancing the administration’s programmes and policies.
They pointed to his political mobilisation, organisational leadership and interest in human security and counter-terrorism as areas of experience they believe could be relevant to public service.
“His selflessness, leadership and vision have inspired many, while his ability to bring individuals and groups together has contributed significantly to fostering unity and cooperation,” the statement said.
The professors also commended Senator George Akume for his role as SGF and what they described as his contribution to the effective coordination of the Tinubu administration.
Recognition for Service
The APC/IGG academics said an appointment for Tsoken would represent recognition of his loyalty, sacrifice and service to the APC and the country.
They maintained that bringing him into government would potentially provide the administration with additional perspectives and experience as it pursues its development agenda.
The group therefore urged the Presidency and other relevant authorities to consider Tsoken for an appropriate position commensurate with his experience and contributions.
Ambassador Tsoken is currently pursuing a PhD in Human Security and Counter-Terrorism, according to the statement.
The call by the professors adds to the continuing debate within political circles over the deployment of party leaders, mobilisers and professionals into strategic positions in government as the Tinubu administration continues to consolidate its policy and governance agenda.
