
The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has expressed condolences to the North Central Regional Editor of Leadership Newspapers, Alhaji Abdullahi Hanafi Olesin, over the death of his mother, Alhaja Munirat Hanafi Imam Olesin.
Alhaja Munirat died in the early hours of Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
In a condolence message issued on Tuesday, the Speaker described the deceased as a virtuous and responsible woman who lived an exemplary life dedicated to Islam, her family and the development of her community.
Danladi-Salihu said Alhaja Munirat’s life was marked by devotion, commitment and dedication, adding that she left behind enduring legacies that would continue to inspire her family and those who knew her.
The Speaker extended his sympathy to Alhaji Olesin and the entire Imam Olesin family, urging them to take solace in the worthy life their mother lived and the positive impact she made during her lifetime.
He prayed to Allah to forgive Alhaja Munirat’s shortcomings, grant her Aljanat Firdaus and give Alhaji Olesin and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
