Ambassador Musa Muhammed Tsoken, National President of the APC Initiative for Good Governance (APC-IGG) and National Coordinator of the Asiwaju Again Renewed Hope Support Initiative 2027, has represented the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, CON, at the birthday celebration and book launch of Professor Emeritus Prince Michael Sunday Ikupolati.
The event, held to celebrate Prof. Ikupolati, who is Chairman of the Professors’ Wing of APC-IGG and Chairman of GMW Insurance Brokers Ltd., also featured the launch of his latest book, The Acts of Great Leaders: A Guide to Empowering Leadership.
The gathering attracted prominent personalities from government, academia, the military, traditional institutions, business and the clergy.
Among those in attendance were representatives of the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoiza Bello; the Honourable Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Oba H.M.H. Williams Olusegun Ayeni, Chairman of the Ijumu Traditional Council and Father of the Day; as well as representatives of the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff.
Others included Prof. Zems Mathias, PhD, Assistant Commander, IACP, USA; High Chief Prof. Dr. Obioha K.C. Epitome; Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye; Prof. Peter A. Osainaye; Prof. Oyewole Sarumi, Registrar, CIPDM; Prof. Juwon Johnson Orugun; Barrister Justina Abanida, former Secretary to the Kogi State Government and Co-Director of GMW Insurance Brokers Ltd.; General Henry Ayamasaowei; General Tahir Umar (Rtd.); and a representative of Bishop David Oyedepo.
The ceremony also attracted numerous professors, captains of industry, clergymen and other distinguished guests.
In his remarks, Tsoken congratulated Prof. Ikupolati on his birthday and commended his contributions to academia, leadership, human capital development and national development.
He described the celebrant as a strong advocate of good governance and a consistent supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Tsoken also highlighted Prof. Ikupolati’s role in championing the publication, Pathway to Economic and Social Development in Nigeria: A Guide to APC Government, describing his contribution to the discourse on national development as significant.
According to him, the professor’s commitment to leadership development and public policy demonstrates the important role of intellectuals in shaping national discourse and supporting sustainable development.
The APC-IGG National President further called for sustained support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration, while reiterating the position of the SGF, Senator George Akume, on the need for continuity of the administration beyond 2027.
Tsoken also commended what he described as President Tinubu’s strategic approach to economic policy, noting that efforts aimed at strengthening the Nigerian economy and promoting growth and development require sustained implementation.
He expressed optimism that continued policy consistency and effective implementation would contribute to Nigeria’s long-term economic and social development.
The birthday celebration and book launch therefore provided an opportunity for academics, policymakers, political stakeholders and other leaders to celebrate Prof. Ikupolati’s achievements while reflecting on the role of leadership, knowledge and human capital in national development.
