The Kwara Alliance for Tinubu and Shettima 2027 (KATS) has congratulated its Chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, Ph.D., on his appointment to the Directorate of Humanitarian Affairs of the APC Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.

In a statement released by its Kwara State Coordinator, Hon. Abdulganiyu F. Saka, described the appointment as recognition of Ajia’s political engagement and grassroots mobilisation efforts in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Ajia joined the APC in February 2026 after leaving the PDP, the platform he had contested the 2019 gubernatorial primary and the 2023 House of Representatives election for Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency. Since joining the APC , He has intensified consultations with party stakeholders to strengthen grassroots support for the party across Kwara State.

Hon Saka commends Dr Ajia for his sacrifice and efforts to support the APC in kwara state which led to the formation of Kwara Allainace for Asiwaju/Shettima 2027 (KATS ) that was lunched in Ilorin with the inauguration of Kwara central executives on the 10th July 2026 and later inaugurated the kwara south executives on the 6th of Sept 2026 at Ajase Ipo where the Alliance promise to mobilize massive voters turnout to participate in the coming general election.

The state coordinator further hinted that preparations are on top gear for the official inauguration of the Kwara North executives after which the statewide KATS inauguration and rally will be held in Ilorin.

The initiative aims to build a coordinated grassroots mobilisation network across wards of the Kwara’s three senatorial districts and 16 local government areas .

Saka urged members and supporters to sustain the momentum, expressing confidence that Ajia’s appointment and the alliance’s expanding consultations would strengthen support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket ahead of the 2027 elections.
