He directed the newly inaguarated local government executive to extend the Alliance’s structures to the ward, zones and polling-unit levels, stressing that the success of the organisation would depend on its ability to translate political support into measurable electoral participation.
Setting an ambitious target, Ajia challenged KATS members across Kwara State to mobilise at least 1.5 million votes for President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
He noted that despite the state’s significant voters population, turnout in previous elections had remained below its potential, urging party stakeholders to intensify community engagement and ensure that registered voters were encouraged to participate in the electoral process.
Ajia explained that the Alliance was established through consultations among critical political stakeholders across Kwara Central, South and North to strengthen the APC, promote reconciliation and prevent further political divisions following disagreements arising from party primaries.
He said the initiative was designed to provide a common platform for party members and stakeholders to work collectively, irrespective of their individual political ambitions or grievances.
