27th Anniversary: Prof. Oniye Felicitates with Emir of Ilorin from Rwanda

An Ilorin-born scholar and Dean, School of Education, University of Kigali, Rwanda, Professor Abdulrasaq Olayinka Oniye has joined well meaning Nigerians to felicitate with the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the state Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on his 27th coronation anniversary.

Oniye stated this in a statement issued on Friday from Kigali, Rwanda and made available to TimeNigeria said, “Emir of Ilorin since his ascension on the throne has continued to pursue the cause of unity and peaceful coexistence among all and sundry”

Adding that, “His reign has witnessed unprecedented socioeconomic growth, development and numerous achievements by indigenes of the Emirate in all walks of life.

According to the University teacher, “I commiserate with the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, on his 27th coronation anniversary and prayed to Allah to continue to enrich him with strength, wisdom and good health needed to further advance the cause of unity, peaceful coexistence in the emirate, Kwara and Nigeria at large.

“May he continue to reign for many years in peace and with prosperity to the Emirate and its people. May Almighty Allah (SWT) guide him as he continues to lead the Ilorin Emirate.” Oniye concluded
