4,359 Out Of 19,482 UI Admission Seekers Scale Through

The much awaited statistics of the University of Ibadan, UI latest admission for its undergraduate for the 2019/2020 academic session has been released.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Idowu Olayinka who presided over an emergency Senate meeting announced that 4,359 out of 19,489 admission seekers are successful.

Out of this figure, 4,100 have been processed through JAMB while about 3, 709 have paid the acceptance fees for the admission.

According to the Vice Chancellor, those offered admission scored while 19, 482 sat for the post UTME examination of the premier University, only 12, 450 scored 50percent and above and were subjected to cut-off marks set for courses to select the best of the applicants.

The Senate of the University stated that University of Ibadan will continue to maintain impeccable and flawless admission procedures.

Every year, UI faced a lot of challenges admitting large number of applicants and till date remains, the most competitive among the comity of Universities in Nigeria.
