Yamaltu Deba Chairman Commends Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s Commitment to Health Sector

The Chairman of Yamaltu Deba Local Government Council, Alhaji Abubakar Hassan Difa, has commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his unwavering commitment to the health sector in Gombe State

This was contained in a statement issued by the Information Officer of the Local Government, Malam Babangida Umar, indicating that the Chairman gave the commendation while flagging off the Integrated National Immunization Plus Days (NIPDs) and Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (RMNCH) Week at Lubo Ward in Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area

Alhaji Hassan Difa assured residents of his administration’s continued support for health-related activities to enhance the well-being of the people.

Also speaking at the event, Dr. Isa, a representative of the World Health Organization (WHO), highlighted WHO’s ongoing interventions and activities aimed at strengthening the health sector in Nigeria. He urged parents and guardians to embrace immunization, particularly vaccines targeting child-killer diseases.

In their separate remarks, the Primary Health Care Coordinator, Hajiya Hadiza Usman, and the District Head of Lubo, Alhaji Mohammed Usman, expressed appreciation to Governor Inuwa Yahaya and the local government chairman for their support, especially in providing essential facilities and vaccines for the RMNCH Week.

They also called on residents to ensure their children are vaccinated to secure a healthier future.

The ceremony featured musical performances and presentations of health kits from GAVI, Godiya Foundation, and other donor agencies.
