Defection Tsunami: VP Shettima, APC Leaders Storm Kogi to Receive Wada, Abenemi, Others

Kogi state is to play host to Vice President Kashim Shetima and APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Gushwe Yilwatda and other party officials on Monday, the 17t of November, 2025.

A statement by The Director of Mobilisation for Tinubu/ Ododo 2027 Continuity Support Group and Kogi State Commissioner for Finance Asiwaju Ashiru Idris in Lokoja today in Lokoja stated that the visit is officially welcome eminent personalities who are decamping to the ruling All Progressive Congress Party APC.

According to the statement, Former Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Ichala Wada, the Deputy Governor Candidate of Social Democratic Party, Chief Sam Ranti Abenemi and all their supporters will event be received by numerous party men and women across the three Senatorial Districts of the State.

The statement listened other Decamped to include: Mohammed D Mohay of MS Square Group, Abdullahi Shehu Dansebe, Mr Samuel James,Yahaya Ijowa, Mohammed Rukayat, Maaji Abubarkar Ahmed, Shatu Suleiman, Chief Dada Adeyanju, Umar Aminat and the host of others.

The statement enjoined all members of the party across the state to brignten up all decampee with warm reception assuring that APC as a family will carry everybody along in the scheme of things.

It added that the event will take place at Mohammed Buhari Civic Centre Lokoja begining from ten o’ clock in the mornings.

It urged all party faithful to be punctual at the epoch making event.
