Folarin Wins Oyo APC Gubernatorial Election

Sen. Teslim Folarin has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Oyo State.

Announcing the results on Friday evening at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, venue of the exercise, Secretary of the election committee and returning officer of the election, Abdullahi Kuso, said Folarin scored 954 votes to beat his closest challenger, Adebayo Adelabu , who polled 327 votes.

Barr. Akeem Agbaje scored 15 votes to place third.

Adelabu was conspicuously absent at the venue of the exercise while the three other aspirants- Agbaje, Adeduntan and Alao stormed out of the venue before the results was announced.

The winner of the election which was postponed till the next day,Friday ,is currently a third term Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
