Governor Makinde Presents N266.6b for 2021 Fiscal Year

Oyo Governor,Engr. Seyi Makinde Makinde at the floor of the Oyo State House of Assembly presented a N266.6 billion naira budget for 2021 fiscal year and boasted that the budget will meet the expectations of the people of Oyo state.

Oyo Governor,Engr. Seyi Makinde Makinde at the floor of the Oyo State House of Assembly presented a N266.6 billion naira budget for 2021 fiscal year and boasted that the budget will meet the expectations of the people of Oyo state.

Titled “Budget of Continued Consolidation” Makinde  noted that the state has made significant progress in its drive across all sectors.

He highlighted successes recorded in the current fiscal year saying that the state government remains bullish in its approach towards consolidating on the its achievements to achieve greater result in the performance of 2021 budget.

He maintained that sequel to the projected 70 percent budget performance in the 2020, the state has however been able to perform fairly above average of 53.16 percent .

The Governor attributed the difference in the projected budget performance level and the recorded performance largely to the novel COVID-19 pandemic. Makinde said the budget Is N12bn Naira above the the last budget.

According to the budget the recurrent expenditure is N136, 262,990 while the capital expenditure is N130, 381. N56b 348m which represents 21percent of the budget is allocated for education

Makinde praised the lawmakers for their supports and promised continuous collaboration with the lawmakers.
