Group Berates Obasa over Alimosho Local Government Chairman’s Suspension Hon Jelili Suleimon

Grassroots Network for Good Governance has berated the Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Mudashiru Obasa over the suspension of Alimosho local government Chairman, Hon Jelili Suleimon.

The Group in a statement issued by its Convener, Afeez Mohammed described the suspension of Jelili Suleimon by the Lagos State House of Assembly on Monday as unfortunate and retrogressive approach to governance.

The group alleged Mudashiru Obasa of witch-hunting the performing Chairman of Alimosho local government to undermine Jelili’s political influence ahead of 2027 politics.

“We understand that the Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa is doing everything possible to destroy perceived political enemies in order to relaunch failed Senatorial ambition as well as his eye on Lagos governorship seat come 2027. As promoters of good governance at the grassroots, we discovered that some wicked elements cooked lies and misinformation to discredit Alimosho local government Chairman, Hon Jelili Suleimon.

“For records, the allegations against Jelili Suleimon has no iota of truth but deliberate attempt to punish an upright person doing everything possible to move the largest local government in Lagos State to greater heights.

“It’s laughable that members of respected Lagos Assembly fell for gimmicks of self-serving politicians to suspend Alimosho local government Chairman. We hereby implore the state Lawmakers not to create crisis that would be difficult to manage.”

Mohammed used the opportunity to salute the apex leader of the All Progressives Congress, Alimosho Local Government Area, Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo for speaking out against the illegality which is not in the best interest of Alimosho local government Residents.
