Lagos Socialites To Grace 2026 Eko Mi Awards on July 17

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his Deputy and APC Governorship Candidate, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Hon James Faleke and Head of Service Bode Agoro would headline the 2026 edition of the Eko Mi Awards.

The third edition of Eko Mi Awards will hold on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos. This event is a foremost socio-political award platform established to celebrate individuals, organisations, public servants and businesses contributing immensely to the growth and development of Lagos State.

The much-anticipated event, themed “Lagos, Where Legends Are Made,” would be attended by top personalities from government, business, entertainment and the private sector expected in attendance.

A major highlight of this year’s ceremony will be a special recognition award for Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, in honour of his outstanding leadership, commitment to good governance and efforts in positioning Lagos as a model state in Nigeria and across Africa.

The glamorous night will also feature exciting performances from top entertainers including award-winning singer Abolore Akande, popularly known as 9ice, renowned female talking drummer Ara, and other notable artistes.

Among the prominent personalities and organisations shortlisted for awards and recognition are Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Hon. James Faleke, Member representing Epe Federal Constituency, Hob Sub Olulade (Eleniyan), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), LAMATA, OPay, Vulcanizers Association of Nigeria, Mikano, Access Bank, Veritas, Journalists Hangout, Mayor Akinpelu, Oba Saheed Elegushi, MTN Nigeria, Elizade Motors, Dayo Amusa, Miliki FM, Bode Agoro, Mr. Moses Onyeka, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, St. Ives Hospital, among others.
