NASFAT Abuja Branch Inaugurates New Exco

Nasrul-lahi-li Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT) Abuja branch has inaugurated 24 members executive that will pilot the affairs of the Society in the next two years, the exercise that took place at the NASFAT Mosque Utako saw to the reselection of Alhaji Abdulganiy T, Balogun as the Chairman of the new Exco, Barrister Lookmam Alawaye as Vice Chairman and Mr Hameed Abimbola Okunola as the Secretary by the Shurah Committee.

This is contained in a statement issued and signed by the Public Relation Secretary of the Society in Abuja, Mr. Kabir Bello.

At the inauguration conducted by the FCT Zonal Chairman of the Society, Dr Nasirudeen Raji-Mustapha charged the newly selected executive member to live above board in discharging the responsibility placed on them with utmost fear of Allah and to see the nominations and selections as an opportunity to serve Allah and humanity.

According to him, “You have been predestined by Almighty Allah who has assembled you today as the team to stir the affair of this great society – NASFAT, Abuja Branch. We glorify Him for the successful process despite all odds.”Dr. Raji stated further that,

“As a team you should continue to rely on the guidance and support of Almighty Allah for effective utilisation of available opportunities to achieve our common goals. You would also continue to rely on Him for solutions to all possible challenges that lie ahead of you as new leaders to take up the new challenges”.

In his acceptance speech on behalf of the newly inaugurated exco, the Chairman, Alhaji Abdulganiy Balogun appreciates the Shurah Committee, Council of Elder’s Committee, Zonal Executive Council and Mission board for making the exercise a reality.

According to Balogun, “Permit me to appreciate the Shurah committee, our Council of Elder’s Committee, Zonal Executive Council and the Missions Board for making today a reality.

To the outgoing Executive Council, it is clear that your efforts in adding quality values to what you met on ground is a great challenge to the new team, we pray that Almighty Allah will reward you all.

However, having worked with you, please be rest assured that our strategic framework will be guided by our four years’ experience together.

“It is our believe that having developed a comprehensive SWOT analyses (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Treats/Challenges) of NASFAT Abuja Branch which we shared with the Shurah Committee during the selection process, Insha Allah we would positively progress from the giant strides. May Almighty Allah make it easy for us all (Amin).

“A mutual relationship amongst the three organs of the society (The Executive, Mission Board and Elder Council) is highly required. This will be given appropriate attention to work out the best pragmatic relationship framework.

“It is my pleasure to welcome all my incoming colleagues on-board the service of Almighty Allah through our great society. Worthy of note here is that we all voluntarily applied for this responsibility and we must be upright, modest, dedicated, committed, passionate and sacrificial about what is required of us. May I also remind us that we must be ready to sacrifice our financial resources as well as our time to achieve common goals”.

May Almighty Allah enrich our purse and spare us the time that will be required to move this society forward. There are great task ahead of us. He said.

Other members includes Nurudeen Bola Yekeen as Financial Secretary, Hajia Aminat Ajikobi as Women Affairs Secretary, Mr Sanni Akeem Babajide as Assistant Secretary, Latifat Raji Muhideen, Treasurer, Mr. Kabir Bello, Public Relation Secretary while Barrister Maryam Ayinde as Legal Secretary and Hajia Aminat Abdulganiy as Education Secretary.

The newly inaugurated exco also includes Hajia Amina B. Yusuf selected as Children Affairs Secretary, Mr Lawal Dauda Ayodele as Welfare Secretary; Mr Oyeleke Idris becomes Youth Secretary, Mr Abdulkareem Aliyu as Project Secretary, Alhaji Hanza Saliu Adetunji as Business Secretary, Mr Abdulkareem Muftau as Internal Audit Secretary as well as Alhaji Isiyaka Shamsudeen as Security Secretary, Mr. Abdulfatai Jimoh, Cooperative Secretary, Alhaji Yisa Kazeem, Membership Secretary,Dr. Saheed Gidado, Health Secretary, Mr. Tajueed Abdullahi, Empowerment Secretary, Hajia Moriliat Ajila, Ex-Officio and Hajia Tawakalitu Kolawole, Ex-Officio
