NILEST Graduates 40 Youths in Gombe with Skills, Startup Support

The Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology, Samaru Zaria, has graduated forty youth in Gombe State.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, held at the Cactus Hotel, Abubakar Hashidu Estate along Bauchi Road in Gombe, the representative of the Director General, Alhaji Shehu Idris Giwa, urged the graduates to make proper use of the skills they acquired to become self-reliant.

The Director General commended the efforts of Usman Bello Kumo, a Member of the House of Representatives from Gombe State, for sponsoring the training program. He called on other politicians to emulate this noble gesture.

Also speaking at the event, APC Gombe Central Youth Leader, Chairman APC Akko Local Government Alhaji Marka Muhammad, and Ibrahim Umar Pindiga encouraged the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by being law-abiding citizens and contributing positively to society.

The politicians expressed their appreciation to Usman Bello Kumo for sponsoring the youths to receive training in various skills and urged other politicians to follow his example.

The beneficiaries interviewed expressed their happiness and gratitude to the institute for providing them with the training, pledging to become self-reliant and excel as skilled designers for the betterment of their communities.

The highlight of the event included the presentation of certificates, as well as the provision of shoe-making machines and startup capital to the beneficiaries, among other items.
