The Pro-Democracy Coalition, a foremost civil advocacy and good governance group led by the Convener, Chief Marcel Ezenwa has extolled the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, describing his stewardship as “visionary, inclusive, and results-driven.”

In a statement issued by the group’s Public Relations Officer, Malam Abdulrahman Aliagan, the coalition hailed the party’s recent achievements as evidence of renewed political direction and growing national optimism.

According to the statement, Ganduje, the former Governor of Kano State and the current National Chairman of the APC, has successfully repositioned the party for stability, inclusivity, and sustained electoral dominance. His leadership, the coalition emphasized, has rekindled confidence in party structures and deepened democracy at all levels.

“Since assuming leadership of the APC, Dr. Ganduje has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to party cohesion,” the statement read.

“Through strategic consultations and inclusive engagements nationwide, he has enhanced the operational efficiency of the party from the national secretariat down to ward levels. This is the caliber of leadership required to build strong democratic institutions,” Chief Ezenwa added.

The Pro-Democracy Coalition praised the APC’s commanding performance in recent off-cycle gubernatorial elections, noting them as signs of renewed public confidence in the party.

“In Ondo, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s landslide victory with 366,781 votes underscored grassroots trust. Edo witnessed a historic shift as Monday Okpebholo defeated PDP’s Asue Ighodalo against the odds.

*In Kogi and Imo, the massive mandates received by Governors Usman Ododo (446,237 votes) and Hope Uzodinma (540,308 votes) further validated APC’s popularity and organizational strength,” the group noted.

The Coalition lauded Ganduje’s foresight in establishing The Progressive Institute (TPI), an intellectual and policy-driven hub that provides research, training, and development for party members and policymakers.

“TPI is a transformative initiative,” Aliagan stated. “Its programs—such as the national conference on skills acquisition and youth empowerment—are grooming a new generation of progressive leaders within the APC.”

The Coalition observed that under Ganduje’s leadership, the APC has expanded its tent by welcoming influential defectors from the PDP, Labour Party, and other opposition camps.

“This growing inclusivity and the strategic outreach to underserved political zones are diversifying the APC’s appeal,” said Chief Ezenwa. “Moreover, Ganduje’s deft handling of internal crises has restored unity and discipline among party ranks.”

The Coalition also highlighted Ganduje’s remarkable efforts in promoting the inclusion of historically marginalized groups, particularly the Igbo people.

“His deliberate efforts to integrate the South-East and other marginalized zones into the national conversation have signaled a new era of unity and political fairness,” the statement emphasized.

The Coalition asserted that Ganduje’s achievements perfectly align with the bold and transformative agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“With Tinubu’s focus on economic reform, job creation, and poverty alleviation, and Ganduje’s dynamic political strategy, Nigeria is entering a phase of national renewal,” Aliagan noted. “Their combined efforts have made a second term in 2027 not only viable but inevitable.”

In its closing remarks, the Pro-Democracy Coalition, through its Convener, Chief Marcel Ezenwa, urged Nigerians to look forward with confidence and stand firmly behind the APC-led administration.

“The future of Nigeria is indeed bright under the leadership of Tinubu and Ganduje.

“What we are witnessing is the laying of solid foundations for a more prosperous and inclusive Nigeria. Come 2027, the continuity of this progress through a second term is not just a political option—it is a democratic imperative.” The statement declared.

Convener of Pro-Demicracy Coalition, Chief Ezenwa, a chieftain of the defunct Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA and Cingress for Progressives Change (CPC) and now controlling reasonable structures in APC.
