Prominent politician and philanthropist, Alhaji Yahaya Seriki, today, Wednesday, paid a condolence visit to the Abuja residence of frontline security expert and businessman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, to commiserate with him over the passing of his beloved mother, the late Hajia Mariyam Ajia.

During the visit, Alhaji Seriki expressed heartfelt sympathy to Ajia and his family, describing the late matriarch as a devout Muslim and community pillar who lived a life of service, humility, and compassion. He prayed for the repose of her soul and for Allah’s continued strength and guidance for the bereaved family.

“The loss of a mother is deeply painful. I pray that Almighty Allah grants Hajia Mariyam Aljannah Firdaus and gives the family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss,” Seriki said.

It would be recalled that Alhaji Yahaya Seriki was part of the congregation that joined other sympathizers at the National Mosque in Abuja to observe special funeral prayers (Janazah) for the late matriarch shortly after her demise.

Alhaji Ajia, who received Seriki and his entourage, expressed appreciation for the visit and kind words, noting that such acts of solidarity provided comfort in a difficult time.

The visit underscores the strong bonds of friendship and community among notable Ilorin elites and further highlights Seriki’s reputation as a compassionate and supportive leader.

Hajia Mariyam Ajia passed away on Monday after a brief illness at the National Hospital and has since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites. She is survived by children and grandchildren.
