The Project Coordinator of the Gombe State ACReSAL, Dr. Sani Adamu Jauro has emphasized the project’s commitment to transformative development through the Community Driven Development (CDD) approach.

He stated this during a courtesy visit from four organizations at his office.

Dr. Jauro highlighted the significant achievements of the Gombe State ACReSAL over the past three years, particularly in landscape management, civil works, bioremediation, and afforestation activities, noting that more than 2,000 hectares of degraded land have been restored.

He praised Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his support of the project and explained that ACReSAL is reaching out to communities via its community revolving fund (CRF) and other livelihood support components.

Dr. Jauro assured the visiting organizations, which included the Association of Public Convenience Services of Tudun Hatsi, Gombe; the Youth O’Clock Advancement Association, Jekadafi, Gombe; the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo Chapter; and the NYSC NEMA CDS group, that the project will collaborate with them to improve the lives of residents.

“The project would provide essential resources such as working tools, toilets, and water facilities for the Association of Public Convenience Services within its intervention area, while establishing an orchard plantation at the Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo.

There will also be collaboration with the Youth O’Clock Advancement Association and the NYSC NEMA CDS group to promote tree planting and raise public awareness about deforestation.” He added.

In their individual remarks, Mohammed Usman of the Association of Public Convenience Services, Comrade Musa Gebi, Deputy Chairman of the Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo Chapter, Abdul’aziz Sani Labaran, Chairman of the Youth O’Clock Advancement Association, and Joel Jonathan of the NYSC NEMA CDS group commended the Gombe State ACReSAL for its positive impact on the lives of the people.
