The stakeholder and philanthropy in Pindiga Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Alhaji Lamaran Ahmed, has appealed to the government to urgently intervene in addressing the erosion threatening the Pindiga, Tumu road in Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State.

Alhaji Lamaran Ahmed made the appeal during an inspection visit to the affected section of the road, where erosion has continued to advance dangerously towards the roadway, posing a serious threat to transportation.

The stakeholder expressed concern over the situation and stressed the need for immediate erosion control measures to prevent further damage and possible collapse of the road. He noted that the road serves as an important link for commuters, farmers, traders, and other road users within the area.

According to him, prompt government intervention is necessary to safeguard the road and protect nearby communities from the devastating effects of erosion.

Alhaji Lamaran Ahmed also called on community leaders, stakeholders, and concerned citizens to continue drawing the attention of relevant authorities to the problem in order to secure lasting solutions and proper intervention.

He further commended the Governor of Gombe State, His Excellency Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for the numerous developmental projects being executed across the state, particularly in the area.

He specifically appreciates the construction of the Jabba-Wada Road and the Papa–Luggerewo–Kumo Road, describing them as landmark projects that have improved transportation, boosted economic activities, and enhanced the living conditions of the people.

Alhaji Lamaran Ahmed reaffirmed the commitment of the local administration to supporting government efforts aimed at improving infrastructure and promoting sustainable development within the area.
