Eid-ul-Fitr: Ajia Felicitates Emir of Ilorin, Kwara Government, Nigerians

Dan Amanan Fune Emirate of Yobe State and Nwanne Ukwu Di Na Mba of Amaba-Ukwu Item in Abia State, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, Ph.D., has extended warm Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the Chairman Council of Traditional Rulers in Kwara state, the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the Government of Kwara State led by Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and the good people of the state both at home and in the diaspora.

Dr. Ajia in a goodwill message, signed by his Director of Communications, Mallam Abdulrahman Aliagan, to mark the end of the Holy month of Ramadan 1447 . Ajia who is currently in Saudi Arabia for lesser hajj described Eid-ul-Fitr as a period of gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to the virtues of faith, sacrifice, and compassion.

The Ilorin-born businessman and security expert prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the act of worship of the faithful, forgives their shortcomings, and grants them abundant blessings.

The prominent traditional title holder also used the occasion to offer prayers for Nigeria, calling for divine intervention in the affairs of the nation. He prayed for wisdom, sincerity, and a strong sense of responsibility for leaders at all levels, urging them to prioritise justice, equity, and the well-being of citizens.

Ajia further called on government authorities to intensify efforts toward implementing policies and programmes that have direct and meaningful impact on the lives of Nigerians.

According to him, governance must translate into improved living standards, economic opportunities, security, and social justice.

Ajia further encouraged the youths to remain steadfast, focused, and law-abiding, stressing the importance of education, skill acquisition, and positive engagement in nation-building. He noted that the future of the country lies significantly in their hands.

“He equally challenge youth to see the importance of education, skill acquisition, and positive engagement in nation-building as priority. So that you are not treated like nuisance in the society.”

While expressing optimism about Nigeria’s future, he urged Nigerians to remain extra vigilant pay attention to community policing concepts as a means of addressing insecurity. Ajia prayed for the stabilisation of the country in all areas of growth and development.

Dan Amanan of Fune Emirate also called for unity among Nigerians, urging citizens to rise above ethnic, religious, and political divisions in the collective interest of national progress.

Ajia, the Nwanne Ukwu Di Na Mba of Amaba-Ukwu Item in Abia State, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress concludes by praying for enduring peace, sustainable development, and shared prosperity across the nation, wishing all Muslims and Nigerians a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration.
