GIRS Flagged-off Tax Collection at Rice and Oil Millers Cluster in Gombe State

The Gombe State Internal Revenue Service, GIRS, has flagged off a formal tax payment exercise for the Association of Rice Millers and Oil Millers at the Nasarawo Cluster Gombe

Representing the Chairperson, Hajiya Aishatu Adamu, at the event was the Director of Tax Operations, Alhaji Nasiru Garba. He praised the association for their dedication to timely tax payments.

He highlighted the recent Kuri road project as proof of how tax funds are improving infrastructure across the state.

He also warned against unofficial payments, insisting all transactions must be receipted to ensure transparency.

Hajiya Aishatu, through her representative, expressed gratitude for the association’s cooperation and encouraged continuous support.

The Chairman of the Oil Millers Association also thanked GIRS for the initiative, pledging the association’s support for government revenue efforts.

The event closed with both parties reaffirming their commitment to a strong partnership for sustainable revenue generation.
