Governor Dankwanbo Appoints 16-Member Hajj Committee

Gombe State Governor, Dr. Ibrahim Dankwanbo recently approved the appointment of a 16-Member Amirul Hajj team for 2017.
This was contained in a statement signed by Acting Secretary of the government, James Pisagih (JP) in Gombe.
According to the statement, Ambassador Haruna Garba will serve as Chairman of the team while Sheikh Zakariya Ajiya will serve as secretary.
Other members of the 2017 Hajj Team include two members of Gombe State House of Assembly, Commissioners of Education and Special Duties, Hajia Aishatu Ahmed and Hon Usman Muhammed Ribadu respectively.
The Amirul Hajj team is entrusted with the general oversight of 2017 Hajj exercise and resolve any operational problem(s) before, during and after the conduct of the Hajj
The team is expected to complement the effort of the muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board secretariat which has direct responsibility for the Hajj exercise.
Governor Dankwanbo therefore wishes success in discharge of there duties.
