The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released a fresh batch of results from the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), marking a significant milestone in this year’s nationwide tertiary entrance assessment.

According to the Board, a total of 1,264,940 results from candidates who sat for the examination on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18 are now available for access.

This development raises the cumulative number of results released so far to 1,897,692, reflecting the steady pace of post-examination processing by the examination body.

Earlier in the week, JAMB had disclosed the release of 632,752 results for candidates who participated in the exercise on Thursday, April 16, the opening day of the nationwide examination.

Providing guidance on result access, JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, reiterated that candidates can check their performance by sending the text message “UTMERESULT” to either 55019 or 66019, using the same mobile number registered during the UTME registration process.

The 2026 UTME commenced nationwide on Thursday, drawing participation from millions of candidates across accredited computer-based test centres.

The examination remains a critical gateway for admission into Nigeria’s tertiary institutions, with JAMB continuing to emphasize transparency, efficiency, and integrity in its conduct.
