A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Alhaji Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, has paid a courtesy visit to the party’s local government and state secretariats as part of efforts to engage stakeholders ahead of the party primaries.

Gwamna, who holds the traditional title of Sardaunan Gombe, arrived with a high-powered delegation comprising politicians and business figures from across the state.

Speaking during the visit, his brother, Alhaji Tanko Isiyaku Gwamna, said the engagement was aimed at familiarizing the aspirant with party members and gaining firsthand insight into the needs and aspirations of the people.

He assured that if given the mandate, Gwamna would deliver meaningful development and improve the welfare of residents across the state.

In his remarks, Alhaji Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded him by party officials at the local government level.

He also commended the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for its achievements, particularly in human capital development and infrastructure.

Earlier, the APC Chairman in Gombe Local Government, Alhaji Idris Saleh and Muhammad Dantata Ndus of State described Gwamna as a strong and credible contender among the party’s aspirants.

They urged party members to prioritize competence and excellence in selecting candidates for elective positions.

The chairmen also lauded the current state administration for its developmental strides and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to supporting credible candidates.

Other prominent supporters present at the event, including Alhaji Sa’adu Ali Mai Silafas, Alhaji Aminu Dan Maliki, and the APC Youth Leader in the area, expressed confidence in Gwamna’s candidacy, describing him as well-qualified to fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming governorship election.
